Martin Glogier, President & Treasurer

Marty is a lawyer by trade, and an entrepreneur in spirit. Originally from Ottawa, Marty now lives in Halifax and joined the Artists’ Legal Information Society as a Director in 2014. Marty holds a keen interest in the arts, with particular emphasis in publishing works of fiction (across multiple mediums). Marty is committed to improving the prospects of Nova Scotia’s arts industry, and believes that the information-sharing role ALIS plays is a critical component to a healthy and vibrant community. Marty holds a law degree and M.B.A. from Dalhousie University.

Sarah Walsh, Vice President

Sarah is a lawyer at Stewart McKelvey in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She is passionate about the arts in all forms and has a particular interest in media, technology, visual art and music. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of King’s College where she developed a strong interest in research and writing. Sarah is committed to working within the artistic community in Halifax and dedicated to access to justice initiatives for artists and all members of the public.
